How to fix the communication problems between my FM-MC4 and my PC under Windows XP?
There is a patch which fixes communication problems with the equipment if you are running Windows XP.

Follow the steps hereafter to apply this patch:

  • First, download the file "MC3COMM2.DLL" in the FM-MC4 dowloads page.
  • Close all running Audemat programs.
  • Then, replace the old file in the "System32" directory, located in your Windows directory (for example, "c:/windows/system32" or "c:/winnt/system32").
  • In the sequencer software, when running the current sequence, a message box indicates that the Audio analyser must be closed. Even if no audio analyser instance is running and this message does not disappear

Use the Windows task manager to close the SEQUENCER running instance and start audio/modulation software. Check that calibration file is correct according to Audio/modulation documentation page 46/47.
Then close audio analyser software. A popup message asks you to save the current configuration. Answer YES to this message. Once this operation is done the message is no longer displayed during SEQUENCE running.
